It is believed by some in the scientific community that there are billions of stars in the Milky Way each orbited by many planets and that they have at some position in time, under the right conditions produced intelligent life.These scientists are of the opinion that intelligent life becomes so successful that the drive to overcome nature becomes their ruin and so they can not control their own power and destroy themselves as a civilization. Human behaviour seems to be one of distraction a form of hypnosis where reality and fiction, the authentic and its representaion become indistinguishable.

It was said that the radio's inclusion as the new popular form of entertaintment would have a detrimental effect on social space and that families would stay at home when they should be out talking to friends and strangers, at which point television arived and then they said the same thing.
